Finding colleagues due to departments is not possible

Hello, we are using skype for business in our company and somehow it is in some of the windows installed versions not possible to look after colleagues due to their departments.

How can we fix it? Thanks and BR Petra

Hello Jimmy,

thank you for your answer. I am from the IT department and as already mentioned the problem happens only at some user account and not at every account. So can it really be the active directory? And if yes what can we change?

Currently we are using the following version

all of our colleagues are using it and some can seek for departments and others can´t.

Do you have further ideas? BR Petra

To adjust it, you will need to make changes to the user account information in Active Directory. Here are the steps to do that:

Log in to the Active Directory domain controller as an administrator.

Open the Active Directory Users and Computers console.

Locate the user account that you want to update. 4. Right-click on the user account and select "Properties".

Click on the "Attributes" tab.

Scroll down to the "Department" attribute and enter the correct department information. 7

. Click "OK" to save your changes. Once you have updated the department information in Active Directory, it should be reflected in Skype for Business. Keep in mind that it may take some time for the changes to propagate throughout the system.
