Hello @John Martin
Thanks for reaching out to us, On October 31, 2020, the Bing Search APIs left Cognitive Services, and became their own product in the Azure Marketplace, the old key is just valid until 2023 October. You need to create a new Marketplace Bing API resource to use it since it already passed the deadline.
- Cognitive Bing API keys created before October 31, 2020 are managed by the Microsoft.CognitiveServices resource provider.
- Customers can continue to use these keys until October 2023, or until their Enterprise Agreement ends. Then, they will be required to migrate to a new Microsoft.Bing key.
- Marketplace Bing API keys created on or after October 31, 2020 are managed by the Microsoft.Bing resource provider.
- Secondary APIs such as Bing Entity Search, Autosuggest, Spell Check, etc. are rolled into the Bing Search key, and are no longer separate keys. There are now only two key types: Bing Search, and Bing Custom Search.
This public blog post outlines the migration away from Cognitive Services: https://blogs.bing.com/search-quality-insights/october-2020/Bing-Search-APIS-are-Transitioning
Customers should have also received an e-mail with the subject, "Bing Search APIs will transition to Azure Marketplace on 31 October 2023":
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any question.
Regards,
Yutong
