I can't log into my school email, becaus authenticator is not working

Everything worked well up until 2 weeks ago. I tried to login into my school email, but I needed a code via the authenticator app. The problem is, that I can't link the authenticator with my school email. With my personal account (gmail), everything is fine, but I can't seem to link my college email.

I open the authenticator app, I press on the plus sign, top add an account. I select school or work email, I type in my school email-adress and password, and then it says "enter code from the authenticator app.", while I'm in the app. When I select "Sign in another way" I get a code with 2 Numbers(i.e. 65), that I should type in, into the autrhenticator but there is nowhere to type it. I deleted the account multiple times from the app, reinstalled the app itself, checked if all the notifications are allowed, background apdates are also on.

I don't understand what is going on..

Sounds like you'll need the school admins to reset the account so a new QR code can be generated with which you can relink the authentication device to your account.
