My domain expired more than 18 days ago so I cannot renew it. How can I reclaim it?
Title, pretty much. I had no idea my domain was expiring. Received no emails, nothing.
I found this out today about one month after it's expired. Is there a way I can re-purchase it? The WHOIS data still lists Azure as the reseller.

2023-10-09T05:55:52.79+00:00 @tyler Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A, apologize for any inconvenience caused on this.
On the 19th day after expiration, your domain remains on hold but becomes subject to a redemption fee. I would suggest you raise a support ticket to renew your domain name, subject to any applicable renewal and redemption fees.
This is already called out in the documentation. Please note that you will have to pay fees for renewal and fees for redemption. These fees are charged from the 3rd party domain provider Microsoft has partnered with and are out of our control.
Feel free to reach back to me if you have any further questions on this.

2023-10-09T08:02:16.3033333+00:00 Thank you Venkatesh. This was my understanding as well. I spoke with two different support reps at GoDaddy who confirmed this, letting me know that although the domain is in auction, Azure can still renew by paying a redemption fee. **However, this is the response that I received when I opened a support ticket: "**I noticed that it expired on 2023-09-11, so it is not possible to renew it from the Azure portal.
I recommend buying the domain directly from GoDaddy. Right now, there is an auction for the domain and any registrant will be able to bid a higher value for the domain and buy it from GoDaddy."

2023-10-09T09:35:34.8+00:00 @tyler Thanks for your response. I have checked with the team internally on this.
Based on the share date in your earlier response, it has been 28days post the domain got expired. I would suggest you follow instructions suggested on the support ticket to buy the domain directly from go daddy from the auction.

2023-10-09T12:15:22.1566667+00:00 GoDaddy has told me that you, Azure, can renew it for a small fee as long as I DONT bid on it, because an active bid prevents the renewal. It's incredibly frustrating that GoDaddy themselves have told me "Azure can easily renew it right now", but the advice from Azure is to cross my fingers and try to win it back. I'm acting as the messenger, meanwhile days tick by and I get closer to losing my domain.

Based on your earlier response I understand that you have already raised a support ticket with our support team. Could you please help us with the support ticket number to check this further internally.

GoDaddy says I cannot renew the domain because I am not the owner. Juan with support is telling me that I should contact GoDaddy and ask them to renew it (even though I have tried that 3 times).
