I have been trying to do test this feature on two SharePoint 2019 Server farms. In both instances, I can only get the following to work: Creation of search alert via alert me. Access created alerts via Preferences. Received the email notifying the alert has been created. However, I did not receive any email further on regarding any changes (I selected all changes for my alert). I had already tested other forms of alerts like change alert of folder (with immediate email) to be working. How do I debug this? Been trying this for a month but could not get any results....

Hi @Cowseye Please clear the configuration cache and perform an IISREST on the server to get all the SharePoint servers up to date on the latest farm information, check if the issue still exists. I have already gone through all the above steps during the one month trying out this feature and the problem persist. Is there a way I can debug or sniff out where the error could be?

It does not make sense where all my other email notifications work except daily or weekly email.

I am having trouble isolating the error, I do not know which error am I looking for. By far, all the immediate jobs were ran successfully.

Hi @Cowseye

How do you modify the document? Do you always check out the document, make changes, and then check in?

Please check the Outgoing email setting of SharePoint along with that email of each user is properly set or not.

The alert me for document library for document change works. User do receives document change or more files added immediate notification for those.

What is not working is the Search alert that were created at the bottom of the search result web part.

Outgoing email setting is set.

Your Search alerts might be turned off.

Checked that as well. It's in the search application service. Setting is On Disable

I mean, this was enabled right after I installed search application service. No new search results alert had ever happened.
