Hi,

I have an Azure resource, for which I have assigned owner permissions to one of my colleagues. I can see through the users tile when they have logged in to Azure, so I know I have assigned the role to the right account and I can see the the correct roles for the resource there as well, but when they open their portal, they cannot find the resource.

Please help.

Thanks.

    Hi @Harman Bassi ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

To check the correct access has been assigned to the user.

    1. Open the Azure portal.
    2. Open the set of Azure resources you want to check for access, such as Resource groups.
    3. Click the specific resource in that scope.
    4. Click Access control (IAM) on the left-hand menu.
    5. Click the Check access tab.
    6. Click the Check access button.
    7. In the Check access pane, click User for which you want to check access.
    8. In the search box, enter the email address of that user.
    9. Click the user to open the assignments pane.

On this pane, you can see the access for the selected user at this scope.

You may also need to check if they have the correct permissions to view the resource in the Azure portal. They may need to be granted at least the Reader role at the resource group or resource level**.**

If your colleague still cannot find the resource, you may want to check if they have the correct subscription selected in the Azure portal. They can check this by clicking on their name in the top right corner of the portal and selecting the correct subscription from the drop-down menu.

    Thanks,

    Shweta
