I have built out my SharePoint Website and now I am looking to place it on the web. Can Microsoft host this site? I already have a domain name. Or should I allow another company to host my site?

    Hi Martin T

In addition to what bruse said, I am adding some details Microsoft offers SharePoint Online as a cloud-based service that can host your SharePoint site. You can use SharePoint Online to create and manage sites, lists, and libraries, and to share and collaborate with others. If you already have a domain name, you can use it with SharePoint Online.

To get started with SharePoint Online, you'll need an Office 365 subscription that includes SharePoint Online. You can sign up for a free trial of Office 365 to test it out. Once you have an Office 365 subscription, you can create a SharePoint site and customize it to meet your needs.

If you prefer to use a different hosting provider, that is also an option. You can export your SharePoint site and import it into another hosting environment. However, keep in mind that this process can be complex and may require technical expertise

SharePoint is a content management system. It does not have a publish tool like typical site development tools. Instead you create a new SharePoint site and migrate content. The success of migration will depend on the content. See

there are other 3rd party tools for migration.
