Parameter in Power Query with suggested value from a query doesn't work

I am creating a parameter in Power Query for Excel 365. For the type, I chose 'any', and for suggested values, I selected 'query'. I then picked a query that is a list with a single value. In the 'current value' field, the dropdown arrow to select the value does not appear. If I leave this field blank, the parameter remains valueless. How can I resolve this? I want to use the value from this list, which I fetch from a cell in a spreadsheet, to filter a query in Power Query.

Enter a tentative value in Current Value.

After that, you can use the drop-down selection in Edit parameters.

@gekka Thank you for your response.

It turns out that when I go to edit the parameter, the dropdown selection is not enabled. It only shows the value that I typed in the 'current value' field. I will attach the screenshots below, both of the list query and the parameter.
