Hmmm, my answer didn't post. It seems windows Lock screen doesn't like anything but the picture setting. I had it set too "windows spotlight' which stops the timer. Besides the adjustment you mention doesn't affect the Lock screen timer as it set at 1 minute and the only way to adjust it is through a registry hack. Once I set it to picture, it went off in 1 minute, even with the power settings at 15 minutes.

well, after about 10 installs of Windows 10, I thought I had a stable install. If I remember when you lock the pc, "windows key-L," it goes to the lock screen and about 5 to 10 seconds the screen goes to sleep. However, mine does not. it stays on. I do not want to reinstall windows again. is there a fix, please. Thank you!!!!!!!!

2023-10-07T13:32:17.1+00:00 Well, that wasn't it as those power settings only effect it in desktop mode. Turned out it didn't like the lock screen being set to anything other than picture. if so, it disrupts the timer. thank you

2023-10-07T13:19:37.1633333+00:00 - Press the Windows key and type "Power & Sleep Settings," then click on it.
- Under "Screen," make sure "When plugged in, turn off after" and "When on battery, turn off after" are both set to a reasonable time, such as 10-15 minutes.
- Also, check under "Sleep" and ensure that "Sleep after" is set to a reasonable time.
- Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause issues with sleep mode.
- Visit the manufacturer's website for your graphics card and download the latest drivers.
- Ensure your Windows 10 operating system is up-to-date. Microsoft periodically releases updates that can address various issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
