How to fix error 0x1807 Remote Desktop on Mac?

I used to be able to connect to my remote desktop with my universities VPN but now I get a security problem (error 0x1807) which my uni administrator hasn't heard of. He's able to connect from other computers to my account but not from my mac... I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but maybe I'm not doing this correctly...

    I have the same issue, it seems to have a relation with finding an AD logon server.
    When connecting to a machine that is not in a domain it works OK.
    Connections to a domain joined machine fail; In the RDP logs I see this message:

    Strange thing is that it works, if you first connect to the non-joined machine and from there open a rdp session to the domain joined machine. Then it temporarily works from the mac, until the domain joined machine is rebooted.

    I have the same issue, Error 0x1807 connecting to a Windows 11 from my mac with the Microsoft Remote Desktop App (Big Sour V11.7.10) What I discovered is if I establish a RDP connection from another Windows I can connect to the Windows 11 and suddenly this fix everything, after the connection magically I can establish the RDP connection with my mac. Why?? I don't know but is the only solution for me now. UPDATE:

    1. I disabled IPV6 and didn't work for me.

    SOLUTION:

    As another post from other user at the begining of this post. I downloaded an old version of Microsoft Remote Desktop V.10.7.9 (2011) and IT WORKS NOW!!!! the problem was not in the Windows 11, it was in te Microsoft Remote Desktop Mac's APP for me. You can download it from here:

    • Make sure you have the latest version of the Remote Desktop client for Mac. Outdated clients can sometimes lead to connection problems.
    • Visit the Mac App Store to check for updates for the Remote Desktop client and install any available updates.
    • By default, Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) uses port 3389. Ensure that this port is not blocked by any firewall or router settings.
    • In some cases, macOS security settings might block the Remote Desktop client. Go to "System Preferences" > "Security & Privacy" > "Privacy" > "Screen Recording" and make sure "Remote Desktop" is allowed.
    • If the problem persists, you can try using an alternative Remote Desktop client for Mac, such as "Microsoft Remote Desktop" or other third-party apps, to see if the issue is specific to the client you're currently using.

    I have the same problem.

    Out of the blue some weeks ago I couldn't remote connect to a specific Windows 10 computer from my Mac (using Microsoft Remote Desktop app, newest version):

    "Unable to connect - We couldn't connect to the remote PC because of a security error. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0x1807"

    The strange thing is that I have some more computers in that same network (Windows 10 & 11 and also a Windows Server 2016) and all of the other remote connections still work.

    I tried connecting to that specific computer from another Mac and I get the same Error code. That means, it has to be some kind of problem with the computer and not with the Mac or the Remote Desktop app.

    I tried all of the suggestions from the other answer from S.Sengupta but sadly without any positive results.

    Another solution attempt was activating the service TermService (Remote Desktop Services) and setting it to start automatically, instead of manually. Sadly this didn't do the trick either.

    Just for clarification: the computers are all in the same domain and I am using an admin account.

    I did not change any settings on the computer and I can't figure out what could have changed to break the connection. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

    EDIT: I solved my issue by turning off iPv6 on the specific Windows 10 computer, which strangely was active. After turning it off the computer could communicate with the domain again and remote access worked normally.
