Azure Site Recovery Unified Setup - IIS check fails

I am setting up an Azure migration project, and I have encountered an issue during the addition of a server for replication to Azure. The Unified Setup tool is failing during the IIS check, and I am unable to find any resources or documentation addressing this specific problem. I am using Windows Server 2016 as the appliance server, and the Azure migration installer automatically installed IIS and set up a site. Although I faced IIS configuration challenges, I received a cautious response that emphasizes the importance of not disrupting the existing IIS configuration. I am seeking guidance or resources that can shed light on the necessary IIS configuration adjustments to meet the Unified Setup requirements. I've searched extensively but have not found any instances of others encountering the same issue. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello @Sahid Afridi Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

I understand that you are trying to set up Azure Migrate project with unified set up tool and it is failing at IIS check. I see that you mentioned installing the Azure Migrate appliance on Windows Server 2016. However, as per documentation - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/migrate/migrate-appliance "If you run the appliance on an existing server, make sure that it is running Windows Server 2022, and meets hardware requirements.
(Currently the deployment of appliance is only supported on Windows Server 2022.)"

This could be one of the reasons why it is failing at prerequisite check.

    Hope this helps!
