Based on the error message, here are some steps you can take:
- Make sure that the "Windows Event Log" service is running. And set its "Startup type" to "Automatic"
- Ensure that your user account has the necessary permissions to access the Event Logs. Or run Event Viewer with elevated administrator privileges. This can sometimes resolve permission issues.
