We are using Teams as a central location for files and discussions related to a project that is being worked on by various staff in the organization. As items come up during the project that need to be addressed, we have been using @mentions in the posts/chat to bring attention to items for the staff that they pertain to. The staff member that is mentioned receives an email notification prompting them to check out the conversation and take action.

Here in our organization we utilize ******@MyOrganization.com to submit requests for IT support. It is a shared email account with delegated access to all members in IT. Some of the items in the project need to addressed by IT and we are not able to @mention that address to loop them into the conversation the same way we can with a named user. We can create an separate email to IT support for assistance however we are not looking to duplicate efforts. It there a way to way this to work with a shared email account or does anyone have a suggestion for a better way.

    Hi @TempStar

In Teams, you can mention a person, a team, a channel or a tag.

If you want to mention all IT members in a channel post, you can create a tag for all IT members in the team and just mention the tag name in the post.
