Depending on the error message, there may be a problem with the port settings when you configure your account. Please follow the instructions below to fix the problem:
- Verify that the outgoing (SMTP) server settings are accurate.
- Make sure your internet connection is reliable and operating as it should.
- Should you want assistance, get in touch with your email provider.
- Disable any firewall or antivirus software that might be obstructing the connection for the time being.
Start Outlook and your computer again to check if the problem has been fixed.
