Every time I try to install a cumulative update, the process freezes at 98 percent, then the update rolls back, which breaks my Windows every time, I’m already tired of fixing it after these terrible updates, I’m attaching the logs, as soon as I didn’t try to fix this problem

    Hello

I understand that you’re having trouble installing the Windows Update KB5031354 and receiving the error code 0x8024601d. This can be frustrating, especially when it affects your system’s performance. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Run Windows Update Troubleshooter: This tool can automatically diagnose and fix common problems with Windows Update.

Restart the Windows Update Service: Open the command prompt as an administrator and run these commands:

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop bits

    net stop cryptsvc

    net stop trustedinstaller

Then restart your computer and try the update again.

Manually Install KB5031354: You can manually download and install the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

Run an SFC or DISM Scan: These tools can fix potential issues with your system’s files.

Perform an In-place Upgrade: This process will reinstall Windows while keeping your personal files and apps. Remember to back up your data before proceeding.

If none of these solutions work, it might be a good idea to wait for a few days. There have been several reports from users experiencing issues with this update, and Microsoft may be reviewing it now.
