After Upgrading form 2008RS to SSRS 2019 i have a problem with subscriptions.

When a user creates a subscription the owner of that subsctiption default to a service account (Its an old Domain account which we dont want to use anymore)
the user is then unablr to change that subscription owner, even though they have CONTENT MANAGER permissions on the folder.

    Hi @Colin Ferguson ,

If you want to change the subscription owner, the user should be the role of System Administrator.

The System Administrator role is a predefined role that includes tasks that are useful for a report server administrator who has overall responsibility for a report server, but not necessarily for the content within it.

    For reference:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/security/role-definitions-predefined-roles?view=sql-server-ver15#bkmk_systemadministrator

Please remember to delete the accounts no longer using in the system role level and predefined role level.

Also check that the old domain account has been removed from the Administrators Group.

out of interest. there is a table [dbo].[customEnvParams] that had a column called SchedulingAccount.
this DOM account was listed in there (only record) there is an active flag which can be turned on and off
I have updated the value in there to be the new domain account.

but i would still like to know HOW a defualt scheduling account (and hense owner) is set
