Migrating a database from a VM (Classic) to ARM

I have a database stored in a VM (classic) that is permanently shut down, and I want to migrate it to ARM. However, I cannot back up the database before the migration. Is there a way to back up the database before migrating, or will the migration automatically move the database to ARM without any further actions?

    Hi Jimmy,

On September 6, 2023, Any classic VM that has not been migrated to ARM will be stopped and deallocated. This means that you can't make a backup before migrating.

Migrating to ARM will not have impact on your data, in order words the move will happen smoothly without data loss.
