Good morning,

As of this morning my colleagues and I are seeing the button custom Addin "add from url" as disabled in Outlook. We cannot install our outlook addin onto our accounts or our clients accounts.

Could you tell us if this is a temporary issue or a way to fix this? The manual installation does not work either.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best,

Raphaël

We have the same issue. A temporary workaround for us is:

    • In the Windows Outlook Client goto File -> Manage Add-ins.
      • This opens outlook.office.com but will eventually show a popup where you can install add-ins.
    • Choose My Add-ins.
    • Choose Add a custom add-in and select your add-in's xml file. This is the file you would normally host and point to using a URL.
    • After some time your Add-in will show in outlook.office.com under the Apps button in the e-mail detail view.
      • Clicking your App might not do anything at first. After a refresh it will start working.
    • Return to your Windows Outlook Client and the app will appear there.
      • Sometimes a restart is required.

In this article they say it is no longer supported. The work around is to download just the manifest.xml and then choose the option to add from file.
