I want to know how much time it will take for devices to get unaffected after the device is deleted?

I need article which can support this.

I created an endpoint->attach reduction profile policy->where some usb devices are blocked now when the policy will be deleted the usb devices should be given access but here its not happening this way? its giving block only.any clarification on this?

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Per my experience, the removeable storage access policy will tattoo on the deleted device and not auto change to the default settings. We need to manually change the below registry keys on the device.

    Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\RemovableStorageDevices

    From the official article:

    deleted device or profile

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/configuration/device-profile-troubleshoot#a-profile-is-deleted-or-no-longer-applicable

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/policy-csp-admx-removablestorage#removablestorageclasses_denyall_access_1

When a device is removed from Intune or a profile is removed or no longer assigned to a device, different things can happen, depending on the settings in the profile. The settings are based on CSPs, and each CSP can handle the profile removal differently. For example, a setting might keep the existing value, and not revert back to a default value. The behavior is controlled by each CSP in the operating system. For a list of Windows CSPs, see configuration service provider (CSP) reference.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
