    The Windows Update service is a manual triggered service that will start up only when called to do so.

    Hello,

    If the Windows Update service status is showing as "Stopped", it means that the service is not currently running on your computer. To start the service, you can follow these steps:

    1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    2. Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
    3. Scroll down to find the "Windows Update" service.
    4. Right-click on the service and select "Start".
    5. Wait for the service to start, and then close the Services window.
