Good morning,

First question :

I would like to know if I need to provision an Azure AD Premium license for each of my users on my Microsoft 365 tenant to have the Conditional Access functionality on Azure?

Second question:

I want to sync "User will need to change password" by enabling the option on my server hosting Azure AD Connect. Does this option require an Azure AD Premium license for each of my users on my Microsoft 365 tenant?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @SMA_63 ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I would like to know if I need to provision an Azure AD Premium license for each of my users on my Microsoft 365 tenant to have the Conditional Access functionality on Azure?

    Answer
Yes, the requirement is that the license is applied to all users who make use of the feature. Micrsoft Entra has always been licensed per user and this applies to all Micrsoft Entra features.

The documentation also says, "Using this feature requires Microsoft Entra ID P1 licenses", which means that it's required for any user who makes use of the feature.

I want to sync "User will need to change password" by enabling the option on my server hosting Azure AD Connect. Does this option require an Azure AD Premium license for each of my users on my Microsoft 365 tenant?

No, you do not require an Azure AD Premium license to sync password change .

    Refer -https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/connect/how-to-connect-password-hash-synchronization#synchronizing-temporary-passwords-and-force-password-change-on-next-logon

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks,

    Shweta

    Good morning,

My plan is set to Microsoft Entra ID P1. My users have Business Premium and Exchange Online licenses.

And regarding my second question. Do my individual users need to have an Entra ID P1 license to use this feature?
