From your description, I know that you encountered an issue that you cannot see any Driver updates when you create profiles in Intune.
Based on my researching, I found that there are two approval methods in Driver update profile, one is Manually approve and deploy driver updates, the other one is Automatically approve all recommended driver updates.
When you have created the policy, let devices scan for updates for about one day or so. Then the Drivers to review column will include the count of new recommended driver updates ready to review for manual approval. However, in an automatic approval method policy, Drivers to review will stay at 0 since recommended drivers are automatically approved.
