Resolving an issue where the connection features do not appear when connecting the microphone to a Windows 7 device

When the mic or headphone is inserted into the device, the connection properties icon appeared. Do I want to turn on the mic or its headphone and so on? The problem is this icon no longer appears when the mic or headphone is connected to the device and the mic when it is connected, it does not work. What is the way to show this icon again

    This appears to be a consumer related issue and should thus be posted to https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us. Keep in mind also though that Windows 7 is no longer a supported Microsoft product. Locking this thread.
