Hello,

We are using MECM 2303 and we have around 4500+ devices in our organization. We deployed application and other things properly. We have configured all the required boundaries and boundary group. But the problem is that, when we deploy Software update, we are facing a lots of issues. Some devices get the updates but maximum devices are getting error. The error is "OnSearchComplete - Failed to end search job. Error = 0x80244019.". I posted earlier in forum regarding this issue and they said that it's a proxy related issue. After that I tried to access http://sccmservername.domain.com:8530 url from the devices but I couldn't access it. I bypassed the url and SCCM server's IP in my proxy and then I can access but still I am facing the same issue. The proxy configuration we deployed through AD Group Policy. We have to use this proxy to allow users internet access. I have listed all the issue what I am facing in below:

  1. I deployed Cumulative Update on 46 devices where 32 devices of them are installed the update successfully but rest of the devices getting the error.
  2. I deployed Cumulative Update on 4 devices and all the devices installed the update successfully.
  3. I deployed a feature update on two device collections. Where collection1 has one device and the collection2 has five devices. Collection1's device installed the update successfully but all devices of collection2 got the error. But the interesting fact is that, when I checked in client machines, I found that all the machines' version upgraded from 1903 to 22H2 but the update isn't showing in view installed update location and some devices' software center showing that failed to installed and 2 devices' software center doesn't show any update.
  4. When I reset the proxy from the devices, the device getting the update immidiately and then showing compliant.
  5. Some of devices showing pending restart but I restarted all the devices several times but still showing pending restart.
  6. Around 2000+ devices cannot scan update and show the error - Scan Update failed Error = 0x80244019.

N.B: All the devices are using same proxy, same subnet, same network policy.

So, please give me any suggestion to fix these issues. I believe it could be a proxy issue or network issue but I have doubt that, if it's a network or proxy issue then all the devices must have the same issue. In here, 30% devices are working properly but 70% devices are facing the issue. If it's a proxy or network related issue then I don't have to troubleshoot in proxy configuration or network but I have to identify and ensure my team that it's a proxy or network issue.

Thanks in advance.

‘When I reset the proxy from the devices, the device getting the update immidiately and then showing compliant.’ - How and what are you doing here as this can potentially lead to a solution.
