How Do I Get Permission To Use Microsoft Code Sample in Open Source Software?

Question

I have a software project that I'd like to make open-source, but it uses some old sample code copyrighted by Microsoft. I couldn't find the licensing agreement for this specific sample code, but in the terms of service, it seems that in general publishing sample code is not allowed without permission from Microsoft.

Could someone please point me in the right direction for who I might contact about this?
