I am a Azure global admin for my company. I added an instance of Document Intelligence. I can access the Learn pages, but one of my developers needs access and does not have it. In the old Azure Active Directory, there was a Form Recognizer role, but this does not seem to exist at this time. How can I configure my user's environment or Document Intelligence so the he can see the instance and work with it. I do not want to add him as an Azure Global Administrator just to get this capability.

    Hi @Ray R. Mosely ,

Thanks for using the Microsoft Q&A.

To assign the Document Intelligence Services Contributor role to the user, please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to the Azure portal and select the Azure Document Intelligence instance that you want to assign the role to.
    2. Select the Access control (IAM) tab from the left-hand menu.
    3. Click on the Add button and select Add role assignment.
    4. In the Add role assignment pane, select the Cognitive Services Contributor role from the Role drop-down menu.
    5. In the Select field, search for and select the user that you want to assign the role to.
    6. Click on the Save button to assign the role to the user.

Once you have assigned the Cognitive Services Contributor role to the user, they should be able to access Document Intelligence without any issues. Please give it a try and let us know.
