How to fix USB boot

Hello,

a couple of days ago I dual booted windows 11 and ubuntu. Which worked fine, and I could boot in windows and ubuntu. Then I deleted the ubuntu partition following the Microsoft/ windows instructions which I found on this website. And 2 youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwcfzCfkQgc&t=60s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCCRFxKU7r4&t=304s

Then I decided that I want to boot Parrot OS together with windows. I downloaded Parrot from the official website, used Rufus to burn the ISO on an USB.

But when I went to boot options in Bios to change the boot order, this is what I saw boot loader.jpg

Then when I plug the USB with the ISO file, it never lets me see the USB as one partition, or just one thing, I can only see partition 1 and 2 of the USB, and neither work when i select them. They just send me to GRUB, and no command works in that grub. But when i restart the laptop, it boots perfectly fine into windows when i take the USB out.

Any type of help would be appreciated!

    Hello

It seems like you’re having trouble booting Parrot OS from a USB drive. Here are a few suggestions that might help:

Check the ISO file: Make sure the Parrot OS ISO file you downloaded is not corrupted. You can verify this by checking the hash of the file and comparing it with the hash provided on the official Parrot OS website.

Recreate the bootable USB: Try recreating the bootable USB using Rufus or another tool like Balena Etcher. Make sure to select the correct options for the partition scheme (MBR or GPT) and the system type (BIOS or UEFI).

Disable Secure Boot: Some systems have a Secure Boot option in the BIOS/UEFI settings that can prevent booting from USB drives. Try disabling this option and see if that helps.

Check BIOS/UEFI settings: Make sure your BIOS/UEFI settings are configured to boot from the USB drive. You might need to change the boot order or enable an option to boot from USB.

Try a different USB port or drive: Sometimes, certain USB ports or drives may not work correctly. Try using a different USB port or a different USB drive.

If none of these suggestions work, you might want to consider seeking help from the Parrot OS community or forums. They might be able to provide more specific advice based on your particular system configuration.
