Hi

I am researching a cutover migration from exchange on premise to exchange online. I am trying to understand what happens after the migration batch has completed and the MX records updated to point to Exchange Online. Do the users need to have their mailboxes setup again in Outlook or will their existing mailbox seamlessly link to the Exchange Online mailbox?

Be sure to set the autodiscover record to Exchange Online so any client can find the new mailbox location:

However, there is no guarantee this will work seamlessly for all clients. Some may need to create new profiles to connect to the new mailbox

    Hi @ Ian

I revisited the official documentation, which states that users must recreate outlook profiles to connect to M365 after completing the cutover migration.
