[UWP] Customize or Disable the image preview, which displays when a user hovers over an app's icon on the taskbar and switch to Task View (Windows + Tab)?

How can I Customize or Disable the image preview , which displays when a user hovers over an app's icon on the taskbar? And, Switch to Task View (Windows + Tab) programmatically in UWP code? I need this to hide content of app when user hover over app icon or go to taskview. Please help. :)

I have to say that currently, there is no such API that could achieve this behavior from the UWP side.

You could try to submit a feature request about this in the Feedback Hub. You could find the Feedback Hub in the Start Menu. Please select Developer Platform->API Feedback as the category when you submit your request. The related team will check the request.

Thank you for your reply. Is there any way from WPF to achieve this behavior? As I have also a wpf component integrated with my app.

I'm sorry to say that I could only talk from the UWP side. If you need tech support for WPF, I'd suggest you open a new question with WPF tag. The WPF engineers will check that.

Thank you for your reply. But Is there any framework callback which tells app that app icon on taskbar is being hovered or we are going to taskview? As I need to hide my app content from app thumbnail on taskbar hover and taskview. If there is a callback, I can change the content of my app, and then change back to normal state

I have to say that currently, there is no such API could detect if a cursor is pointing over the app icon and there are also no events could tell when the app will go into the TaskView.

I'd suggest you submit a feature request about this in the Feedback hub if you really want this feature.
