I would need to upgrade the IIS version to a later version. What KB or procedure can I follow to complete this task?
I cannot find the correct KB in the MS Catalog.

As Lex Li said, upgrading Internet Information Services (IIS) on Windows Server 2016 to a later version usually requires upgrading to a newer version of Windows Server, because the IIS versions are closely tied to the Windows Server operating system.
IIS 10.0 version 1607 a.k.a. version 10.0.14393 is included in Windows Server 2016.
IIS 10.0 version 1709 is included in Windows Server, version 1709 (Semi-Annual Channel).
IIS 10.0 version 1809 a.k.a. version 10.0.17763 is included in Windows Server 2019.
IIS 10.0 version 10.0.20348.1 is included in Windows Server 2022.
Can you be more specific on what you wanted to achieve? IIS is part of the Windows Server release (like 2016) you are using, so you cannot upgrade it without upgrading to a newer Windows Server release (2019 or 2022). Windows Update will notify you if any update is needed and you just need to apply those for the operating system itself.
