Problems with Adding Attendees to existing meetings (Web client) - no dialogue box options

Hello -

I use web based Outlook app and am having a few issues with it. I need to know how to add people to meetings without sending the whole attendee list and I cannot figure it out. I understand the process for doing this in the desktop app but I only have access to the web app and I do not have a dialogue box option to opt out of sending the message.

Similarly, if I need to delete someone I cannot save my changes without sending the update to the whole attendee list. This is very frustrating and I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to address this so that I can send updates to one individual and remove people from the meeting without updating everyone each time.

In addition any time I attempt to make a change it seems to highlight/select names randomly (if there is a method to how it's doing this I can't figure out what it is because it's been different every time.) Is there a way to get it to not do that?

    Hi @Schaefer, Katy ,

I need to know how to add people to meetings without sending the whole attendee list and I cannot figure it out.

I am afraid the option to "Send updates only to added or deleted attendees." is not available in Outlook on the web at present. Noticed that a similar feature request has already been posted into the official feedback portal. I've added my vote on it and I'll leave the link below in case you or other community users who see our discussion here would like to add vote or comment there as well. Hopefully this can be realized in the future.

would be great if the meetings would allow you to send update to added or removed attendees again on the web outlook version.

With the above being said, while I cannot think of a better way to deal with scenarios where you need to delete some attendees in OWA, for situations when you want to add some new attendees, instead of updating the attendees list in the original meeting, I'd suggest Forwarding the original meeting request to the new attendees you want to add. This can prevent duplicate meeting notifications from being sent to the other existent attendees:

Since this issue happens randomly, it might be quite hard to find out the root cause of it. Based on my experience, you can try switching to a different internet browser or using the browser in private mode and see if there would be any improvement. And as a side note, normally we'd recommend focusing on only one question per thread. Considering this particular problem (highlight/select names randomly) is different from the "send update" option as mentioned earlier, so if you would like more assistance regarding this, it would be best that you can start a new thread for further discussion. Thanks for your understanding.

Hope the above information can be helpful.
