We have changed our tenant name, but since then one drive for users with MAC OS still has the old name.

We tried resetting the one drive but still the same issue.

    Hi @Jennifer,

Sorry that I don't know how to troubleshoot it in Mac. Generally, in Windows we can delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive in Registry Editor and re-set up OneDrive by going to the OneDrive site and select Sync. There may be an operation similar to deleting the registry in Windows in MAC, I guess.

Upon changing your tenant name, it's essential to ensure that all components of your IT environment accurately reflect this modification. In the case of OneDrive for macOS users retaining the old tenant name, here's a systematic approach to rectify the issue. To commence, unlinked the OneDrive account from the Mac. Within the OneDrive app, click on the OneDrive icon in the menu bar, proceed to More > Preferences > Account, and select "Unlink this Mac" followed by "Unlink account." This disassociation is a pivotal first step in resolving the discrepancy.

Next, remove the OneDrive folder from the Finder. Access Finder and navigate to Applications > OneDrive. Then, right-click on the OneDrive folder and opt for "Move to Trash." This action effectively eliminates any remnants of the old configuration. Subsequently, to establish a clean and updated connection, reinstall the OneDrive app. Retrieve the latest version of the OneDrive app for macOS from the Microsoft website. After the installation, sign in with the new tenant name and credentials.

Upon signing in, the OneDrive folder will be regenerated, now accurately reflecting the updated tenant name. If the issue persists despite these efforts, it's advisable to reach out to Microsoft support for professional assistance, as there may be underlying factors that require more advanced troubleshooting. Additional measures include ensuring your OneDrive app is up to date and that your Mac complies with the system requirements. Regular system maintenance practices like restarting your Mac or resetting the OneDrive app can also aid in resolving the issue, ensuring a seamless transition to the updated tenant name. If the problem lingers, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the OneDrive app to guarantee a pristine configuration.
