Ramifications of unlinking OneDrive?

Hi..

I do not care for OneDrive and wish not to have files stored in the cloud.

I know I can unlink OneDrive, but the Microsoft support states that if I unlink, I can still access my files by signing into OneDrive.

Does this mean that my files will not be available on my computer's hard drive? Are my files only available through OneDrive?

If so, must I first save my files on my hard drive and then unlink?

Thank you to anyone who is kind enough to answer.

Patti

    Hi @PR,

No, the files have been synced before will be still available on your computer's hard drive. But these files will not be synced from cloud or synced to cloud. No need to save files on your computer before unlinking the OneDrive account from your PC.
