how do I fix these pin issues with signing in with Windows Hello?

Question

I open up the Minecraft launcher and try to sign into my account. I sign in and it asks me to use windows hello. I enter my pin. doesn't work. I try a few more times with some variation. nothing works. So I reset my pin. Still doesn't work. I turn off windows hello entirely. The sign in system didn't care and still used windows hello. I proceed to delete my pin and make a new one. Doesn't work. I can't find any way to recover this pin whatsoever. ( This is all in a set of under 12 hours, If that has any influence on the issue).
