Excel O365 Version Stopped Recognizing virtual drive

Since upgrading to O365 excel has stopped recognizing my virtual drives which worked previously in CTR 2019. I have drop down boxes referencing ranges in a separate workbook on the same virtual (S:) drive as well as vlookup functions and in both cases I am getting "The source currently evaluates to an error". If I create them using local drives it works. Any ideas before I uninstall O365 and revert back to 2019
