How to automate Accounts Receivable/Payable

Hello,

I have am a Accounts Receivable/Payable (AR/AP) technician working on Excel. I find it plausible that we can be using something other than Excel for this purpose. If anything, use of macros to populate data once it is received.

When an invoice comes in via email, I log it in the invoice log and in the master workbook. Is there a way that when an invoice comes in, that the invoice log and master workbook are both populated at the same time? Granted, the master workbook is 45 tabs across with 5 years (by month) per tab. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

~Erick

    Hi @Killian, Erick,

As per my knowledge, you can use Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012's Accounts Receivable/Payable module. It can be integrated with Microsoft Excel. Regarding your question about populating the invoice log and master workbook at the same time when an invoice comes in via email, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012's Accounts payable module can receive vendor invoices electronically through a service or by using a vendor portal. After the invoices are entered or received, you can review and approve them by using an invoice approval journal or the Vendor invoice form.

    Reference:

    Accounts payable

    Accounts Receivable

Also, you can contact Dynamics support and tell them your specific needs and they will instruct you in this case.
