Archive solution for Sharepoint

Dears,

Please I need to know if there is any archiving solution for Sharepoint online? We have a case where Sharepoint storage is being consumed rapidly, and ideally we would prefer to archive the data automatically to a cost effective cloud storage, without upgrading the Sharepoint storage. Microsoft Syntex will release soon archiving features for Sharepoint, however they won't be available before next year.

There are some options that you can consider for archiving SharePoint Online, depending on your requirements and preferences. Here are some of them:

• You can download data to a local storage option, such as a hard drive or a network share. This way, you can free up space on SharePoint Online and access your archived data offline. However, this option may require manual intervention and additional hardware costs. You can use the SharePoint Migration Tool to download data from SharePoint Online to your local storage.
• You can move data to Azure blob storage, which is a cloud-based service that offers scalable, secure, and cost-effective storage for unstructured data. This way, you can reduce the cost of SharePoint Online storage and leverage the benefits of Azure cloud services. However, this option may require some configuration and coding skills. You can use the Azure Storage Explorer to move data from SharePoint Online to Azure blob storage.

• You can use a third-party backup solution However, this option may incur additional subscription fees and depend on the availability and reliability of the third-party providers.

Hi All,

Our SharePoint Online site is continually running out of space; therefore, we are constantly adding more space to it.  They have huge libraries with 10,000 versions and 1000 GB of storage. The PHL library holds around 4 TB. best practices for maintaining versions and, if we want, how to remove versions from library files without affecting the most recent versions of the files. We had a seven-year retention policy in place. Searching for the best possible solution
