wsl2 0x80370102

Question

I am unable to start wsl with the following error:

WSL2 is not supported with your current machine configuration. Please enable the "Virtual Machine Platform" optional component and ensure virtualization is enabled in the BIOS. however, i do have virtualization enabled in BIOS as well as Virtual Machine Platform installed.

for testing, i installed an ubuntu in virtualbox and it is working

Error code 0x80370102 usually indicates that WSL2 is not enabled or installed correctly. You can try the following steps to resolve this issue:

1. Open the "Control Panel" and select "Programs and Features".
2. Click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
3. Scroll to "Windows Subsystem for Linux" and make sure "Windows Subsystem Linux Platform" is selected.
4. Click OK and wait for the installation to complete.
5. Restart your computer.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling WSL2.
