How to find the path of a specific folder in Outlook 21

Hi,

I got a new laptop and found that the feature to find the path of a specific folder with the advanced search option in Outlook does not work. In the "In" field, the default folder name is Inbox. On the old computer, this field always displayed the name of the folder where the email message was located. On the new laptop Outlook LTSC MSO 16.0.14332.20579 64-bit, Microsoft Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 is installed. The old laptop has Outlook for Microsoft 365 MSO (version 2309 build 16.0.16827.20166) 64-bit installed. Is there anything I need to set up so I can easily find my way to the folder?

Hi @Stopar, Jože ,

Are you saying that when you use advanced search in a specific folder, the actual folder name is not displayed?

Can you provide a specific a screenshot for better understand?

Hi @Faery Fu-MSFT , I will explain this in more detail. In Outlook, I have many folders and subfolders in my personal folder where I move the mails that I have read and that I will need at some point. When a new mail arrives and I want to move it to a specific folder, but don't know exactly where that folder is, I help myself by searching for mails that are similar in content. I enter a keyword in the search field at the top of the screen and select All Outlook Items to the left of it. A list of hits is displayed in the window. As I have set the In folder column to be displayed, I can see in which folder the specified mail is located. Then I open this email and press CTRL+SHIFT+F on the keyboard. On the new laptop, an incomplete advanced search window opens (figure 1) and after 3 seconds Outlook closes completely. Sometimes it opens again automatically, sometimes I have to open it manually. This happens when I set All Outlook items to the left of the search box. If I set "Current Inbox" to that box and open the message I want to find and press CTRL+SHIFT+F, it opens a full Advanced Search window (figure 2), but when I click Browse, it shows me a check mark in the Inbox in the Selected Folders popup and not the folder I'm looking for. This is because the name of the folder I am looking for is not entered in the To (v:) field, but the name of the Inbox folder (Prejeto) is. However, I cannot change the content of this field manually. I have the feeling that this is a bug in Outlook, because for a while the programme behaved like this on the old laptop. Figure 1
