My company now switch Google email server to Microsoft Outlook and need 2Fa authentication.

  1. I loged in Outlook according to HR (human resources) assigned an account & password and followed steps to reach “Scan the QR code".
  2. I installed MS Authenticator in my cell phone and scanned the QR code in 1), then went to last one "Approve the notification", stuck here and could not move on.
  3. my HR re-set my Authenticator and asked me to remove the previous one and install a new Authenticator. After the new installation and opening, it requests to “Scan QR code” as below picture.

The problem is now Outlook cannot support it, because 2) above log-in completed this step and in that time the QR code was not saved and now the Outlook shows a code as

How to Regenerate QR code for the new Authenticator?

Do I need my company HR to re-set my Outlook account to get a new QR code? My company has no IT guys. This is why I am looking for MS technical expert to help.

The steps should have gone like this (see link)

if it did not then an admin may need to reset the account so you can try again.
