Azure Update Manager - Schedules doesnt work

Hello Community,

i have a Problem with the Schedules in Azure Update Manager.

I use the Azure Update Manager for updating Azure Arc Systems.

I configured a Schedule "Maintenance Configuration" with a dynamic Scope for the Azure VM.
It works fine.

After this i configured a new "Maintenance Configuration" with a new Schedule Plan for this VMs.
For Example i would like to Use this plan for Installing Updates fo one Time on a specific Time.

So i configured this and work with test Resources without a dynamic Scope.
But the VMs do nothing.
I see only the Assesment into the History of the VMs but not the Scheduled Patching.

SO the Problem is the Schedule Patching doesnt work.

Can someone help with this?

Phil Thanks for reaching out. Can you also please check what classifications have you selected within the maintenance configuration?

Also, make sure to check when creating a Maintenance Configuration, you are given the option to save it within a Subscription of your choosing. It is possible that the Maintenance Configuration have been saved in a Subscription which do not have the necessary register provider enabled and therefore the Maintenance Configurations are not being honored and executed.

Yeah i have selected all Updates into the Classification.

Also, make sure to check when creating a Maintenance Configuration, you are given the option to save it within a Subscription of your choosing. It is possible that the Maintenance Configuration have been saved in a Subscription which do not have the necessary Preview Features enabled and therefore the Maintenance Configurations are not being honored and executed.

Okay that must you explain to me.
The Azure Update Manger ist out of Preview i think?

Or have i false informations?

And one more comment to this.

The first Schedule works fine.
The Problems comes after i do a change to a new Maintenance Configuration.

Apologies, yes, the Azure update manager is in GA. I meant to say that the maintenance configuration where you are saving it, make sure that the subscription has registered with Maintenance Resource Provider to use maintenance configurations.

(note: updated my previous comment).

Also, as you mentioned that the scheduled patching isn't working even though you have set it up, it needs to be investigated further. It can't be done in community forums. I would suggest you raise Azure support ticket for the same so that technical expert can assist you 1:1 to find the cause of the issue.
