Hi,

On a few PCs within my organisation, we are having the following issue.

If you are signed in and then decide to switch user, the keyboard stops working and you have to unplug it and plug it back in (at times you have to restart the entire PC).

I have tried updating drivers and disabling power management for the USB ports but this has not resolved the issue.

Grateful if somebody could advise on this issue and provide any potential solutions.

Hello, Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue could be related to the USB port or the keyboard itself. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Try using a different keyboard on the affected PCs to see if the issue persists. If the issue does not occur with a different keyboard, then the problem is likely with the original keyboard.
    2. If the issue occurs with multiple keyboards, try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on the affected PCs. If the keyboard works fine on a different USB port, then the original USB port may be faulty.
    3. Check if there are any pending Windows updates and install them. Sometimes, updates can fix issues related to hardware.
    4. Try running the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Hardware and Devices.
