I had been able to use Remote desktop using my universal Microsoft account email address and password to login via the RD app. Recently, I have now cannot login. I get an error message: "We couldn't connect you to the remote PC because the password associated with the user account has expired. Change your password .... Error Code 0xf07" I did change my Microsoft password on the Microsoft website, rebooted, and I still get the same error. If tried multiple clients (iphone and another windows 11 pro machine) and still get the same error.

What password has expired? I login to this machine (remote) with my universal Microsoft account using a PIN. This error just seemed to happen without me changing anything.

Any idea on how I can solve this problem??

Other Info:

Remote PC: Windows 11 Pro

I have access to the machine (typing on it now)

Clients: Windows 11 Pro and IOS (iphone)

    User's image

Solved. I un-checked the box: "Allow connections only from computer running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (recommended)"

I guess the next question is: How vulnerable does this make my PC?
