We are running a SQL virtual machine SQL server under a developer license that needs to be upgraded to a standard SQL license.
The payment for the SQL license is done through Azure so no license keys in our control.
Now with the upgrade through the setup a SQL license key is requested to get the SQL server from developer to Standard edition.
My question:
Where can I get a SQL Standard license key to run it in the setup for the in-place upgrade?
Afterwards I can change the billing option in Azure for the correct payment method to Azure.

2023-10-27T09:15:29.8033333+00:00 Thank you for the reply but this page does not give an answer on my question where I can get a SQL key if I am paying through Azure.
setup.exe > maintenance > upgrade edition > Product key
Here the setup requests an product key if you want to upgrade to a non-free edition of SQL.
With on-premises environment you of course purchase SQL keys and enter them and you can proceed with the upgrade.
In Azure however we do our payment for the SQL servers so where/how can I retrieve an SQL standard license key to enter in the setup? -
