I created a group policy to deny access to removable storage on my Windows Server 2012R2. After a week I have removed the group policy, but users are still unable to use USB devices on both the server and client computers. Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

    Hello

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with Group Policy on your Windows Server 2012R2. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Force a Group Policy Update: Run the gpupdate /force command on both the server and client computers. This forces an immediate update of Group Policy.

Check Replication: Ensure that the Group Policy Object information has replicated to all domain controllers.

Check for Errors: Look for any Group Policy errors or events in the Event Viewer.

Reboot the Systems: Sometimes, a system reboot can help apply the changes made by the removal of the Group Policy.

If these steps don’t resolve your issue, it’s possible that there might be lingering settings from the removed policy. In such cases, you might need to manually change the settings back on the client computers.
