The Dell lattitude 3520 laptop is cable of installing Windows 11

Things we have tried.

  1. Disabled Antivirus software and tried installing the Feature Update but fails ( Panda Antivirus)
  2. Removed pc from Domain and still the same results.
  3. Ran SFC/ scannow
  4. Ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth , Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  5. we can install win11 via windows assist but not via Feature update.
  6. when deploying via KACE system it will download ESD & Windows UpdateBox file.
  7. Also tried to run via command - WindowsUpdateBox /Update /Install /quiet -(fails)
  8. Deleted $windows~BT folder

9.Deleted content of Distribution folder

10 Tested compatible check on the laptop and it passed.

Any help to resolve is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Are you using a third party software to perform an upgrade (such as upgrading to Windows 11 22H2 from Windows 11 21H2)?

Since the issure only occurred with the third party tool (worked with upgrade assistant tool), the issue could be related to the third party. We may try to ask for help from the third party support.

From windows side, we could try to check whether there is any logs recorded in C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log.

If there is no such directy, it means the upgrade process never occurred. It the upgrade process occurred but failed. There should be some logs recorded here. If it is possible, please share the logs here. We could try to check the logs for more information.

We may try to capture the process monitor at the same time for more information.

    1. Download the Process Monitor tool.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon

    1. Extract the Process Monitor tool.
    2. Open the process monitor, press “Ctrl+E” to “suspend” it, “Ctrl+X” to clear present process information.
    3. Press “Ctrl+E” to start the process monitor again, reproduce the issue.
    4. Press“Ctrl+E” to “Suspend” it again then save the present log(Ctrl+S).

The forum resource is limted to analyze such issue, you may consider to open a ticket to Microsoft for more resources.
