Unchecking the box Limit Data to Your Own Content allows both data sets in AOAi Studio (as it should), but deploys a front end that does NOT have access to ChatGPT data

Prior to a few weeks ago I was able to deploy front end instances of AOAi that look at both data in my Azure instance AND ChatGPT data by unchecking the "Limit data to your content button" checkbox in AOAi Studio. This seems to no longer be working. Unchecking the box (which recently moved and has additional settings) allows both data sets in AOAi Studio (as it should), but deploying a front end (using the deploy button) builds a front end that does NOT have access to ChatGPT data (only the local dataset).

Anyone else getting this? Any ideas?

Tried starting over completely with all new infrastructure and got same result.

I have tried deploying a new instance from Azure Open AI Studio after unchecking the "Limit responses to your data content" and I could see the deployed app has the "SEARCH_ENABLE_IN_DOMAIN" under Environment Variables is FALSE which correspond to respective checkbox settings (True when Checked and False when Not Checked) along with the Strictness and Search_Top_K has setup correctly.

However, I am able to reproduce your error and web application is not working as expected.

I am checking internally and get back to you on the same.

Can you please try modifying the environment variable -"SEARCH_ENABLE_IN_DOMAIN" to "AZURE_SEARCH_ENABLE_IN_DOMAIN" in the deployed web application.

I tried modifying the name and looks like the web application started working as expected against true and false values.

I am however, checking internally with the products team if this is a bug which needs to be fixed and update you back as soon as possible.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

@Nick Roseth I have checked internally with the products team, and the application deployed from Azure OpenAI playground is not adding the environment variable "AZURE_SEARCH_ENABLE_IN_DOMAIN" and you could see another variable- "SEARCH_ENABLE_IN_DOMAIN" instead. Products team is currently working towards providing a fix for the same and the fix will be mostly available in the first week of November. Renaming the variable is the right workaround for now.

I will update the thread as soon as the fix gets deployed in the production environment.

This is to let you know that the fix has been deployed in production. I have deployed a new web app using Azure Open AI Playground and I could see the correct environment variable getting deployed in the web app. (See screenshot below).
