RDS disconnected sessions keeps showing up on RDCB
Dear,
We have an RDSH farm with 9 RDSH's, and one RDCB.
We started with all server 2019 > we then inplaced upgraded our RDCB to 2022 and finally we've inplaced upgraded all our RDSH's. Went pretty smooth.
But since the inplace upgrade of the RDSH's we're facing this issue:
- When we (admins) logoff a user from server manager on RDCB, the user is logged off from the RDSH, but the session keeps showing up in server manager on RDCB for several hours.
- When we restart Remote Desktop Connection Broker Service on RDCB server: the session disappears immediately.
As for now, we do not face/hear issues with reconnection of disconnected/logged of users (we run the setup with inplaced upgraded RDSH's to 2022) for about 2 weeks.
Any ideas? Is this normal behavior since 2022? This is confusing our helpdesk and me too at this time...
It's not a cosmetic issue: we see the same logged off users appearing in Powershell, we used also a server manager on another server to connect to our RDCB & RDSH's > same behavior on this server manager.
Many thanks!
Pieter
