We are having problems with our hardware inventory collection process, and no data is being collected through the console. While hardware information collection seems to be working correctly, we cannot collect information related to specific products, all software companies, and similar categories. When reviewing the InventoryAgent.log file on the client, we found the following error:

InventoryVersionNumber for '{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000002}' not found.

    Hi, @JuanitaHowe-4759

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

This error message is usually encountered when the client is unable to send inventory data to the SCCM server or when the server is unable to process the inventory data sent by the client.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Verify that the SMS Agent Host service is running on the client machine.
    2. Check if there are any network connectivity issues between the client and server.
    3. Ensure that the Hardware Inventory and Software Inventory features are enabled in the client settings.
    4. Manually run a Hardware Inventory Cycle on the client machine and check if it reports data to the SCCM server.
    5. If none of these steps work, you can try reinstalling the SCCM client on the affected machine
