Dell T550 running Win 2022 Server STD, and Hyper V.
Just created a virtual computer running 2022 Server. The actual hardware server is on the D1 domain, as is the old server that is acting as the AD domain controller, DNS, etc.
The new hardware server has not been set up in any active directory role, or dns computer.
I just tried to have the new virtual server get on the D1 domain, so I can make it an Active directory domain controller, and demote the old server, but it's telling me that it can't reach the domain. I did use the D1\admin credentials to authorize joining the domain.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.
